Statisticians in the Wild

Ever wondered what statisticians actually work with when they leave university? Now is your chance to learn more and to get to know two “statisticians in the wild”!

Join us on December 7, 2023 in Auditorium 2 at H.C. Ørsted-Instituttet, Universitetsparken 5, Copenhagen for an evening with two speakers, free food and drinks (sponsored by The Danish Statistical Society), and socializing with other “young” “statisticians” - all completely free of charge!

We will hear from two speakers:

Tryggvi Sigurpálsson Kamban is a Data Scientist at Danske Spil A/S working with machine learning models related to the organizations gambling platform. He holds a Master’s degree in Statistics from University of Copenhagen and has previously worked with full stack web development.

Frederik Sørensen is a Senior Data Scientist at Base Life Science where he previously also worked as a consultant. He holds a PhD in Statistics from University of Oxford as well as a Master’s in Statistics from University of Copenhagen.

The event will begin at 17.30 and in addition to the two talks there will be free food sponsored by The Danish Statistical Society. After the talks, we will go for a drink at a bar nearby. In order for us to have enough food and drinks ready, please sign up no later than November 29th.
