Tenure Track Assistant Professor position in Actuarial Mathematics and Data Science at the University of Copenhagen

The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Copenhagen invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position at the intersection of non-life insurance and data science. The position is open from 1 March 2021 or as soon as possible thereafter.
It is not necessary that applicants have done research in both of the areas of non-life insurance and data science, but they must be interested in and willing to do research and to teach in the border area between the two.
The tenure track assistant professor must have an academic standing showing internationally competitive research, have an internationally recognized potential for outstanding research achievements, have strong teaching credentials, and have aptitude to work on industry-related projects. Research and teaching obligations include activities with industrial partners in industry-related research projects and in our continued professional development programme for the industry.
The department is a leading mathematics institution with a vibrant international research environment that spans several areas of pure and applied mathematics. It has strong groups in, e.g., insurance mathematics, statistics and mathematical biology.
