About us
The Childhood Cancer Survivorship research group is headed by Dr Jeanette Falck Winther. Our research focuses on childhood and young adult cancer survivors and inves-tigates their risk for late effects. Most of our research is based on registry data.

The research projects
Currently we are working on two large Nordic research programs: Adult Life after Child-hood Cancer in Scandinavia (ALiCCS) and Socioeconomic Consequences in Adult Life af-ter Childhood Cancer in Scandinavia (SALiCCS). Within these cohort studies we investi-gate somatic late effects as well as socioeconomic and social consequences in long-term childhood cancer survivors. Data-linkage between various Nordic population-based regis-tries gives the unique possibility to conduct the most comprehensive research projects on late effects, socioeconomic achievements, family circumstances and socioeconomic burden in long-term survivors of childhood cancer.
