Would you like to be working with our broad portfolio of products in development in a friendly, ambitious and international team of statisticians and programmers?

Biostatistics Department at LEO Pharma in Ballerup is looking for a statistician who can continue to develop, strengthen and secure high quality and participate in planning, analysing and reporting clinical trials from our wide range of exciting development projects.

Your primary assignments

  • Analyse clinical trial data and give input to clinical study reports related to development of new medicines
  • Give statistical input to clinical study protocols including for instance design, sample size, power calculations and statistical methodology
  • Collaborate with other statisticians internationally within Biostatistics as well as with CROs and other experts within Clinical Development
  • Use your skills to participate in the improvement of the department’s procedures and secure best practices
  • Be involved in creating data summaries for the FDA and EMA where you will work closely together with regulatory professionals and medical experts
  • Provide statistical advice to other scientists within R&D and perform analysis of experimental non-clinical data

Your competence profile

Our new colleague and right candidate must have the following qualifications:

  • Appropriate theoretical statistical background as e.g. M.Sc. or PhD in statistics
  • Interest in applied statistics
  • Experience with medical research is certainly an advantage but not a requirement
  • A team player who is able to work with other scientists from different functional areas and simultaneously has the ability to work and think independently
  • As a person you take responsibility, you are structured, committed, and flexible and has a positive attitude
  • Possess good communication skills in English, both orally and in writing

We offer a challenging job as biostatistician where you will have the opportunity to apply statistical methods to medical and other experimental data. You will be working together with competent and qualified statistical programmers and colleagues within clinical development as well as with other scientists from LEO R&D.

You will be part of a dedicated team of about 30 employees, of whom 14 are statisticians. The department has offices in LEO Pharma’s headquarter in Ballerup and in our UK and French affiliates. You will work in a global environment with colleagues in Denmark, UK and France.

You will of course have the opportunity to attend relevant workshops/congresses to develop your skills as a pharmaceutical biostatistician.
