DSTS COVID-19 seminar

The board of the Danish Society of Theoretical Statistics (DSTS) has decided to cancel the two-day meeting in the fall 2020.

The early signs of increasing infections in Denmark indicated that organising a physical two-day meeting would show to be fruitless.

Instead DSTS has organised a shorter afternoon seminar Tuesday 24th of November starting at 15:15 on zoom (link to be provided later).

There will be four 30 mins talks on the topic of COVID-19 followed by a panel discussion. Theis Lange (KU) will be chairing the talks and panel moderator.

  • 15:15-15:20: Welcome and introduction
  • 15:20-15:50: Anton Pottegård (SDU) on the COVID-19 cohort
  • 15:50-16:20: Samir Bhatt (Public Health, KU - former Imperial College) on interventions strategies
  • 16:30-17:00: Uffe Høgsbro (DTU) on anecdotes from SSI's expert group
  • 17:00-17:30: Anders Peter Hviid (SSI) on vaccines
  • 17:30-18:30: Panel: Susanne Ditlevsen (MATH, KU), Francesco Sannino (SDU) and journalist Sonja Furu (Weekendavisen).
